Cellular shades are a unique style of window treatment used to filter light and add insulation to windows to help save energy and reduce energy costs. Each cell is constructed with a honeycomb-shaped pocket that traps air at your window. This creates a shield that insulates your home while keeping it shaded.
Honeycomb shades and cellular shades are two names for the same product. The “honeycomb” name is simply a reference to the shape of the individual air-pockets in each cell of the “cellular shades.”
Yes. In fact, it’s normal for dust to build up on the inside of your cellular shades. You can clean them with light regular dusting and gentle vacuuming to keep them clean. To remove embedded stains, try spot treating them with warm water and a mild detergent.
